Door Installation in London, Ontario
Entry doors that seal against a London February, and patio doors that slide or swing the way your yard needs.
We supply and install entry doors, sliding patio doors, French doors, and garden doors across London and nearby communities. Waldemar and Margaret price every door themselves after seeing it in person, and our own crew installs it, usually in a single day.

Entry doors
Nearly every entry door we install is steel or fibreglass with an insulated foam core. The choice comes down to exposure. On a sheltered porch, a thermally broken steel door is secure and economical. On a sunny, unsheltered south or west wall, fibreglass resists dents, never rusts at the bottom where salt and slush sit, and handles dark colours without the finish stress steel sees. Compare them in steel vs. fibreglass entry doors.
For security, the frame and strike matter more than the slab: a reinforced strike with long screws into the wall framing, a quality deadbolt or multi-point lock, and tempered or laminated glass in any lite or sidelite. See multi-point and smart locks, and pick a colour that suits your brick with our front door colour guide.
Patio, French, and garden doors
Sliding patio doors need no swing room and suit tight decks and kitchens. French doors give the full opening and the best seal but need space to swing. Garden doors, with one fixed panel and one hinged, sit in between and are a popular fix for an old slider that drags or ices up. Our sliding vs. hinged guide and garden door guide explain the trade-offs. If your current slider is sticking, read fix or replace a sliding patio door first; sometimes new rollers are all it needs.
Storm doors
A storm door can help an older door on a shaded wall, but in full sun it can trap enough heat to warp a new steel or fibreglass door and void its warranty. See are storm doors worth it before adding one.

Door installation questions
How much does a new front door cost in London, Ontario?
Published 2026 Ontario guides put a standard steel entry door at roughly $1,200 to $2,500 installed and a fibreglass door at about $2,000 to $4,500. Sidelites, transoms, decorative glass, and multi-point hardware add to that. Your written quote lists every component.
Steel or fibreglass for a London front door?
If the door is sheltered by a porch and faces north or east, a quality thermally broken steel door is good value. If it faces south or west with little overhang, or you want a dark colour or a wood-grain look, fibreglass handles sun, salt, and cold better and will not rust.
How long does a door installation take?
Most door replacements are finished in a single day. Widening a frame or converting a window opening to a door takes longer and may need a permit; we confirm the schedule in your quote.
Can you fix a drafty door instead of replacing it?
Often, yes. A new sweep, weatherstripping, threshold adjustment, or a squared-up frame fixes many drafts. We will tell you honestly when replacement is the better call.
